Culture of doing what you don't know!

In Iran people work in positions that they have no professional training for.

for example the president is an engineer! a mechanical engineer is a web-designer! An Armenian literature expert is a journalist for Armenian language newspaper! an English literature expert is a journalist for a TV station! a physicist does political analysis! a person with political science diploma takes care of prisoners in the prison!a social scientist works for a project that is directed by an agricultural engineer! a chemist is a parliament member!

However, the above-mentioned examples are actually pretty good. You know why? because at least they have some university education and at least they know the method of thinking. The story becomes even more fun when you see people without education occupying position that requires education. For example, a person without high school diploma does political analysis for others, or makes movies, or teaches at school...

well, I just can say that it is really frustrating to work in an environment that you have nothing to learn from the people around you and you constantly ask yourself "how could this person do this job so far?". But probably this chaos that is a direct result of the mismanagement in countries like Iran, is one of the most important factors hindering the development of such countries. Where nobody is in his position, disorder dominates the situation. When disorder rules, the dominant culture is chaos and anarchy. In a chaotic situation everything happens! like an engineer becomes the president and claims that the inflation rate is decreasing while the prices rise day by day. Well, that is not his fault! he simply does not know! that is not his job. even if the mr. so called president said that the inflation is increasing, he was not supposed to be in that position! he is an engineer! And sad part of the story is the fact that this attitude of putting inappropriate people in positions is not limited to the government. NO! this is a culture that is evident everywhere! it is OK to do what you are not supposed to do. That is the culture of doing what you don't know!

  1. In the US you need a license and specific training for everything. From everything like driving a truck to painting someone's nails and doing their hair, you need to be certified and pay money to the state through a lengthy application process. This can be equally frustrating as well especially when it's tough to find a job. But at least people are usually qualified for their positions I guess.
